Data Access
This data set, from the GSFC magnetometer on the lunar- orbiting Explorer 35 spacecraft, contains 81.92s averages, taken over 5.12s values, of the magnetic field magnitude and Cartesian components in GSE and GSM coordinates, plus the standard deviations for field magnitude and GSE component averages. The spacecraft position vector is given in GSE, GSM and SSE (Selenocentric Solar Ecliptic) coordinates. Additional parameters in the data records relate to field data in payload coordinates, spacecraft spin rate and spin axis direction, relative variability of the field vector and its magnitude, and various quality flags. The data are available in annual ASCII files.

Data quality flags relate to spacecraft clock readings. A value of zero is best.
The sensor flip state. It is unclear what each value indicates.
State of the magnetometer: normal, flipping, or calibrating. It is unclear what each value indicates.
The sensitivity level (+/-24 nT or ±64 nT) of the magnetometer. It is unclear what each value indicates.
The number of data points used to get average values.
Spacecraft clock sequence number.
It is unclear what each value indicates.
